Bri Kern, MS, LPC, CCATP

Licensesd Professional Counselor
Anxiety, Trauma & Burnout Therapy

Becoming a therapist wasn't just a career choice; it felt like stepping into what I've always been meant to do.

For as long as I can remember, I've believed in people, even when they couldn't see it in themselves.  Even in the middle of pain, confusion, or feeling stuck, I've always known there's a way forward - and I love helping people find it.

Many of the clients I work with are used to pushing through. They're thoughtful, self-aware, and doing their best - but still feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected in ways that don't fully make sense.

If that's you, you're not alone.

My Perspective on Healing

My approach to therapy is deeply shaped by both my professional training and my personal experiences.

Over the years, I've come to believe that healing happens when we support the whole person - mind, body, and heart.  Not just managing symptoms, but understanding what your system actually needs in order to feel safe, balanced, and supported.

This perspective didn't come from textbooks alone.

It developed over the past 20 years through my own life experiences, including navigating trauma and learning firsthand how our bodies hold onto stress. Like many people, I've had my own "crash and burn" moments, and those experiences shaped not only who I am, but how I show up for my clients.

What Matters to Me in This Work

I care deeply about helping people experience real, meaningful change.

Not just coping - but feeling better in a way that actually lasts.

I'm always learning, exploring, and expanding my understanding of what helps people heal, because I believe this process can be both deep and efficient. Some things take time - but with the right support, it doesn't always have to take as long as we think.

Beyond the Therapy Room

My interest in healing extends into my everyday life.

Nutrition and healthy living have been an important part of my own journey, especially in understanding how the body impacts mood, energy, and overall wellbeing. It's something I naturally weave into my perspective when supporting clients.

What I offer in my practice isn't something I keep separate from my life. It's something I believe in fully. It's what I use, what I trust, and what I share with the people closest to me - including my family.

This work isn't just about getting through hard moments.

It's about creating a life where you feel more grounded, supported, and able to truly thrive.
